I enjoyed focusing on the face and hands this session as I feel it is one of my weaker areas when life drawing. I think my use of tone when shading the face improved in my later sketches. Initially I found charcoal a challenging form of media to use, but this is now one of my preferred materials. The result of using this material in my work produced bold markings and presented a range of tone.
